About Us

Flack Family Thatching Services Ltd is a proud third-generation, family-run business with deep roots in East Anglia’s thatching tradition.

The business was founded in 1930 by Basil Flack, who learned the craft from some of the finest thatchers in the region. His son, Ray Flack, continued the legacy, learning directly from Basil and further developing his skills at the renowned Knuston Hall, a respected thatching college in the Midlands.

Following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps, Tommy Flack later joined the business, continuing the family tradition with the same passion and dedication. Today, Tommy leads the company with a strong commitment to quality, heritage, and craftsmanship.

With nearly a century of experience passed down through generations, we take great pride in offering expert thatching services across East Anglia,  from full re-roofs to repairs and ongoing maintenance.
